2013 ASIN Awards 6th of December

Last night as evening advanced into night, stars shone brightly across Moreton Bay and brighter still inside the The Artist Tree in Cleveland for the 2013 ASIN Awards.

The burlesque themed event started in style with a warm welcome to all from our irrepressible Master of Ceremonies Craig Ingham introducing the ‘Rogue Ballerinas’ who kicked off their stockings and kicked off the show.

Our special guest presenters Carla Bonner, David Gould and Paul Bishop added to the ambient atmosphere by generously sharing their experiences of the industry with liberal sprinklings of honesty, inspiration and good humour.

Huge thanks to Carla for joining us from Melbourne and David for travelling from New Zealand to attend the event.

We would like to extend sincere congratulations to all the nominees in each category – every year the votes are so close it becomes difficult to separate the winners from the nominees, there is never a clear cut winner in any given category, everyone receives loads of votes! In the instances where there was only one vote separating the winners and those that follow we have awarded a certificate of highest achievement as well.

This year the winners of ASIN Awards are:

Best Actor – Craig Ingham for ‘Beyond Redemption – Space Captain’

Certificate of Highest Achievement – Jayden Caulfield

Best Actress – Abigail Jayne for ‘Beyond Redemption – Space Captain’

Certificate of Highest Achievement – Carmel Rose

Best Director – Paul Day for ‘Beyond Redemption – Space Captain’

In closing, it was with great pleasure that we were able to present David Gould with this year’s “Outstanding Career Achievement Award”.

David Gould is highly regarded not only by the powerhouses in the film industry in Australia and overseas, he is also as a supreme talent in our midst. David’s dedication and application to his chosen craft inspires each of us to push the boundaries, to strive to excel against the odds and continue to steadily pursue our individual dreams and passions within what is often a tough industry.

David is not only an inspiration to all of us; he is one of the nicest and most humble men we know.

We wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas and a sensational 2014!
