He has also written and sold two original film scripts, has been published in Newspapers and National Magazines, and two of his short films have won awards at the Ft. Lauderdale Film Festival. He guest lectures at Film Festivals, Colleges and Universities, holds scriptwriting and acting scene study workshops for professionals several times a year, is preparing an intensive professional course in Directing, and until recently was a staff professor at both The Miami Film School and The Florida Film Institute.
Most recently Alyn has worked on the feature “DECALOGUE” for VERA Productions, finished work on several new music videos, acted in two national commercials for "Sea Best Seafood" and "Pearle Vision," he has wrapped up directing duties on the romantic drama “Secrets To Savor” and the comedy pilot "Bummed Out," and has begun pre-production on his next directorial job the emotional drama “Conduit” for Concord Films. His road picture “The Art of Roadkill” won the 4 top awards (Best Director, Screenplay, Editing, and Musical Score) at the Miami – 48 Hour Film Project and is being shown at Film Festivals around the world. His other recent film, ”Smooth Operator” is also playing at many film festivals around the world and receiving standing ovations.
He also writes a popular monthly column for ‘The Northern Star’ newspapers and film reviews for MiamiArtZine, Irate Films, and Your Entertainment Ticket.
